Heighten Your Health and Happiness This Summer: Try Something New and Feel Your Best.

This summer, it’s time to feel your best – and the water is one of the most refreshing and enjoyable ways to get moving.

Whether it’s swimming laps, joining an Aqua Aerobics class, or simply spending time in the pool, water-based movement can help boost your energy, lift your mood, and support your health and happiness.

This week, it’s time to boost your motivation and mix up your routine.

Trying something new – even as simple as swimming at a different time of day or joining a new Aqua class – is a great way to refresh your mindset and re-energise your body.

Why mix it up?

Prevent Injury: Repeating the same strokes or movements can lead to strain. Mixing it up – like alternating swim styles or adding Aqua Aerobics – gives your body a chance to recover and stay balanced.

Build New Muscles: Ever tried a new water workout and felt sore in places you didn’t expect? That’s your body waking up! Different movements in the pool activate different muscle groups, helping you build strength and endurance.

Stimulate Your Brain: Learning new techniques or following choreography in an Aqua class keeps your brain engaged. It’s easy to go on autopilot – but trying something new challenges both your body and your mind.

Bust Boredom: If you’re tired of swimming the same laps or doing the same routine, it’s time to explore other options. Aqua Aerobics, deep water running, or even playful movement in the pool can bring variety and fun back into your workouts.

Find Your Excitement: If motivation is low, changing your aquatic workout might be the key. Maybe you love the rhythm of swimming, the energy of Aqua classes, or the calm of floating stretches. If you’re not sure what you enjoy most, try a few different options and take note of what makes you feel good.

This week, give something new a go – What will you try?
